I most enjoy teaching student-athletes to excel not only in the sport of running, but to mature and thrive in their education. Jen Brown Assistant Coach
Jen has 35 years of running experience, from junior and high school cross-country, to competing in road, cross-country, and trail races as a master's athlete in the U.S., Germany, and South Africa.
Four time Boston Marathon Qualifier 2016 U.S. National Masters Road Championship- Gold medal team 2016 Santa Barbara Round Table Open Athlete of the Year 2020 U.S. National Masters XC Championship- Silver medal team 8th & 10th place finishes overall in USATF races
Master's division personal bests: 5K- 19:01 (2016 Nite Moves) 8K- 31:18 (2016 USATF Nationals) 10K- 38:03 (2019 Cancer Center Run) Marathon- 3:28 (2014 Boston) 6K XC- 25:39 (2020, USATF Nationals) Jen coaches both cross-country and distance track at DPHS. Her goal is to create and build a lifetime love of running in your student athlete. Jen's approach to coaching is, “to teach what I've learned in my running career, to listen and learn, to have fun, and to get out there and run with the kids!”
