Luciani Koroshec
Boys Captain Dos Pueblos Involvement: I am a Dos Pueblos Junior and I have attended DP since Freshman year. I am also part of the Engineering Academy here at the school. Running Experience: Before joining the Cross Country team at DP, I had a little bit of running experience, but I had never done any training before and I had never raced. Then coming into Freshman year, I started strong and then just kinda plateaued and was stuck at mid-JV. And then Sophomore year, I trained myself during the summer and it paid off because I ran a 1:43 improvement and shot up to number one on the team. Personal Best in Competition: 3 mile: 16:59 3200m: 10:02 1600m: 4:47 800m: 2:12 |

Javier Obispo Munoz
Boys Captain
Dos Pueblos Involvement:
I’m a senior and have attended Dos Pueblos all four years. I am in the leadership program as a social media commissioner.
Running Experience:
I have a heart murmur so I never thought running was something I could do. I tried track my freshman year and kept getting bumped up for longer distances. Sophomore year is when I joined cross country and tried my best, to a level I couldn’t even imagine. My junior year I slacked off at the beginning but still gave it my all. Now as a senior I know I can do better and commit to running as varsity.
Personal Best in Competition:

1.9 mile: 11:56.7
3200: 11:58.29
1600: 5:26.99

Samsara Chahine
Girls Captain
Dos Pueblos Involvement:
As a Junior I am going into my 3rd year at Dos Pueblos. For the past two years I have been tutoring in math, first as a PASS tutor for DP students, then transitioning as an online tutor during COVID. This year I will also be helping lead the Together to Empower club as one of its Co-President; this is a school club that I’ve been a part of since freshman year.
Running Experience:
My interest in running began in elementary school with the annual jog-a-thon, which my brother and I were always looking forward to! Some years we would decide to train in advance for it, which I would say marks my very first experience with running. Then going into junior high I ran cross country for both 7th and 8th grade. I am now going to be running my 3rd year of cross country at DP!
Personal Best in Competition:
3 mile: 22:25.2
1600: 5:37.75
800: 2:32.13

Phoebe Wolfe Lyons
Girls Captain Dos Pueblos Involvement: I am a Junior at Dos Pueblos and am an International Baccalaureate diploma candidate. I was awarded Honor Roll for the National Scholastic Press Association, the Gold Presidential Service Award, and a member of the National Honor Society. Running Experience: I ran my first 5k race when I turned five years old. I ran in the Roosevelt Running Club, Coyotes Running Club and Santa Barbara Track Club while in elementary school. I also ran Junior High Cross Country while at Santa Barbara Junior High. My real love of running though started in high school when I met this fabulous team. Cross country is a team sport and the community and family that it provides is irreplaceable. Both the girls and boys teams are so welcoming and as an incoming runner who didn’t know anyone going in, I felt so embraced by their kindness! My goal is to try and continue that same experience for all of the incoming and returning runners to this program. I was awarded top female cross country runner by Club West for 2018, 2019, and 2020. In high school, I ran varsity cross country and track for both freshman and sophomore year, and was awarded Channel League-Cross Country MVP 2019-2020 and Dos Pueblos High School Cross Country MVP 2019.
